Job description: This role is providing Peer Recovery support services to clients with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders to begin and maintain a path to recovery. Individual must understand the role of Advocacy, Ethical Responsibility, Mentoring/Education, Recovery/Wellness Support.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Explain the importance of self-advocacy as a component of recovery/wellness.
- Recognize risk indicators that may affect the individual's welfare and safety.
- Serve as a role model for an individual and educate/mentor from shared experiences.
- Practice a strengths-based approach to recovery/wellness

- Training and learning experience to perform tasks as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist clients and peers
Educational Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or a GED.
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Certification
- Completed Registered Peer Recovery Specialist Hours
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
