Position Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager will help oversee the day-to-day operations while delivering an exceptional Brixton branded experience and will understand organizational objectives and make decisions in partnership with the Store Manager that align with Company priorities and values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned):
Customer Experience:
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team.

- Maintains a compelling store experience for customers by engaging and modeling appropriate customer service behaviors.
- Directs and models selling behaviors to build customer relationships and brand loyalty
- Leads an efficient and satisfying cash-wrap experience.
- Models and supports use of store tools and system to nurture customer relationships.
- Resolves customer issues in a timely manner while being solution-oriented and forward thinking, partners with the Store Manager and/or Area Manager as needed.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensuring that store policies and procedures are followed.
- As an active key holder, maintain safety and awareness of self and employees.
- Responsible for opening and closing the store location.
- Responsible for accurate recording of sales figures and performs cash operational functions such as bank deposits and daily cash reconciliation.
- Deliver results and contribute to the store's success.
- Awareness of and accountable to store and individual goals.
- Executes reductions, price changes, clearance, and transfers.
- Demonstrates superior knowledge and oversees use of all Company systems in- store.
- Manages and protects the assets of the store through implementation and close monitoring of loss prevention practices.
- Ensuring the store environment complies with health and safety regulations.
Product Expert:
- Performs store visual standards following visual merchandising direction.
- Ensure store and brand visual standards are consistently maintained and shoppable for customers.
- Ensures housekeeping duties are completed to maintain a neat, clean, and professional store environment.
- Responsible for merchandise processing and replenishment on sales floor.
- Ensures team is trained on the appropriate fitting techniques and accurately executing fittings.
People's Coach:
- In partnership with the Store Manager, ensures all staff members are trained on product knowledge, selling skills, customer service and operations.
- Creates a sense of belonging and teamwork within store team.
- Provides feedback by providing coaching in the moment and further action as needed.
Education/Experience:
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, isn't upset when things are up in the air, can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
- May require a combination of standing, stooping, sitting, and walking up to 75% of the time, and as needed.
- May require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 25% of the time, and as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Vision requirements may require close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), and Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
