The Pediatrician will provide primary care to infants/children ages 0 to 18 years of age by performing physical assessments, developing health care plans, implementing treatment, and evaluating patient outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides well-child and sick-child medical care.
- Performs routine physical assessments.
- Performs problem-specific physical examinations.
- Diagnoses and treats illnesses/diseases.
- Prescribes and administers medications.
- Develops, implements, evaluates, and documents plan of care and treatment.
- Initiates early intervention for developmental delay and disabilities.
- Initiates referrals to other medical/nursing/specialty services as needed.
- Performs health maintenance/disease prevention counseling.
- Provides chronic disease management counseling.
- Provides timely childhood immunizations.
- Provides advice to parents on child development, nutrition, safety, and discipline.
- Provides patient stabilization in emergency situations.
- Notifies and follows up on abnormal findings.
- Reviews all lab test reports/referral reports.
- Supervises and directs patient care performed by nurses.
- Assists in the development and implementation of Pediatric protocols and procedures.
- Attends provider meetings and other meetings as required.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in a specific area of practice by attending in-services, CME classes, and ACLS Certification.
Administrative and Team Responsibilities:
- Work together with the clinic provider team to ensure standards of care, quality and service are met and exceeded.
- Prompt and accurate preparation and completion of records and reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services rendered by the Dentist as Health Center may reasonably request, including prompt placement of such information into patient charts in accordance with Health Center’s policies and procedures
- Attendance at meetings, training, classes, or functions required by Health Center
- Prompt preparation and filing of accurate and complete time records and reports of hours worked, as required by Health Center
- Compliance with all other documentation, records, and reports required by Health Center
- Participation in Health Center’s quality improvement and compliance programs and any related committees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCECompletion of undergraduate and medical degrees. Must have at least 3 years residency in Pediatrics, and be board eligible or certified in Pediatrics (must obtain within 1 year of hire).

Pay: $180,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year
