Reliant Medical Group has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed orientedPediatric Patient Support Specialist to join our team. The Pediatric Patient Support Specialist is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.

Schedule: 38.75 hours a week, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Location: 101 CEDAR STREET, Milford, MA 01757

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality and care and concern with each and every internal and external customer
  • Represents the Company in a professional manner, following all Company policies and procedures
  • Uses, protects, and discloses patients protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
  • Accurately and professionally handling all front desk operations including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling of all appointments, balancing daily collections, addressing routine inquiries, and forwarding non-routine requests to appropriate personnel
  • Works daily reports, incomplete encounters, No Show reports, and other designated administrative reports according to office procedures
  • Intake and Registration of Patients
  • Phone and task support role for providers
  • Patient Portal Management
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of customer service-related experience
  • Intermediate computer proficiency including the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and multiple web applications
  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical front office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records
  • Knowledge of Epic EMR software

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
