Form of workPediatric Nurse Extern - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
JOB SUMMARY: The Pediatric Nurse Extern (PNE) performs nursing activities that have been documentedas learned in the nursing program; may assist with medication administrationupon completion of the pediatric theory and clinical course work, andsuccessful completion of the Valley Children's medication examination.
REQUIREMENTS: Thisposition requires: A) a High School Diploma/GED; B) current enrollment withcompletion of at least two semesters/or equivalent in an accredited RN Program,C) enrollment throughout employment in an approved Work Study Course through anaffiliated school (Fresno City College, CSU Fresno, West Hills, COS, SJVC, Merced,CSU Stanislaus), D) BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer intoposition.
Advancement to PNE II is based on completion of the pediatrictheory and clinical course work, and successful completion of the ValleyChildren's medication examination.
POSITIONDETAILS: Per Diem and shifts may vary, must be able to complete week-long newhire/clinical orientation (40 hours). The week-long orientation dates for next semester are 12/18-12/22 or 1/8-1/12.
PAY RANGE: $17.00
