Job Purpose: The Pediatric Clinical Support RN supports the healthcare provider within the scope of nursing practice. The RN is responsible for in person visits to assess patient concerns as well as telephone communication for follow-up and symptom management.

- Follow physician-signed protocols.
- Send prescription refills electronically using the electronic health record
- Review and maintain accurate and detailed records in the electronic health record
- Assess patients with symptoms. Suggest nursing interventions for symptom management based on nursing protocols and communicate changes in patient’s status to the monitoring provider.
- Help to fill out and complete all pediatric forms including FMLA, enteral orders, WIC forms and all appropriate medical forms. This includes letters of medical necessity.
- Complete in person visits to assist, educate and teach pediatric populations on various medical situations (medication teachings, feeding tube concerns) as per protocol
- Provide patient education, both in person and through telephone communication.
- In collaboration with providers, and within RN scope of practice, assist in the development of protocols and/or written guidelines
- Serve as a resource for patients and patient coordinators
- Staff Pediatric ARM and BIOfeedback
- Train in pediatric infusion as staffing needs indicate
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
- This position is a hybrid in clinic and work-from-home

Education and/or Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required. One to two years of clinical experience is required; one plus years of pediatric and/or GI experience is preferred. Experience using an Electronic Health Record is required.
Certifications/Licenses: Current Minnesota Nursing License is required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to lift and transport items up to 10 pounds occasionally. Employees may be required to travel to other company locations due to staffing and training needs.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee works in an office environment. The employee is exposed to a computer monitor daily.
