- Solicit new insurance business focusing primarily on larger personal lines accounts. Identify clients, develop leads, scheduling appointments and travel (by car or air) to visit current and prospective clients.
- Lead and assist in building Personal Lines department.
- Establish and maintain client relationships.
- Obtain and analyze information from clients necessary to request quotes for insurance coverages. Work with the appropriate insurance carriers to obtain pricing quotes.
- Make presentations to clients to explain insurance products and services to show the agency's capabilities and quote the pricing to prospects.
- Assist carriers and clients with the installation of insurance programs.
- Respond to inquiries from prospects and clients about insurance-related matters, and from insurance carriers by phone, email and mail.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Broad knowledge of such fields as advanced accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
- Equivalent to four years of college, plus two (2) years related experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Appropriate insurance licenses in each state where business is being solicited.
