Position Purpose
The part-time Payroll Specialist will support Human Resources by processing payroll for the Newington, CT hourly, salary and bargaining unit workforce.
Job Duties
- Owns payroll processing for the Newington weekly and bi-weekly workforce through payroll submission using a web-based system (currently Paychex)
- Owns payroll processing for the Newington bargaining unit workforce per the collective bargaining agreement.
- Reviews and validates with Managers and Cell Leaders, all hourly employee punch detail from ERP system
- Provides ad-hoc and scheduled reporting for Payroll function
- Maintains payroll and related program documentation, including hourly attendance per Article VIII of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Files all payroll related documents in employees? personnel files
- May be assigned to carry out other tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of the department (e.g. employee file maintenance, etc.)
