Job Description
Purpose
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for providing timely and accurate delivery of payroll for four (4) main groups of employees: Canada, USA, UK & Australia. You will also work on various tasks related to finance, i.e.; expense reports, time & attendance etc.
Responsibilities
- Administer and review bi-weekly payroll for Canada, USA, UK and Australia:
- Enter data into payroll systems (i.e. process new hires and departures, update employee information, vacations, absences, leaves, etc);
- Manage group insurance and taxable benefits on payroll;
- Calculate statutory holiday entitlements, when applicable;
- Maintain Intelerad’s earned vacation and nights away policy that applies to payroll
- Prepare, produce and issue all year-end and quarterly reports for the various payroll groups (T-4, RL-1, W-2, payment summaries…);
- Complete, verify and process documentation for employment and for various worker’s compensation agencies (CSST, WSIB, WCB Alberta, Work Safe BC, Allianz NSW & Victoria);
- Verify, process and report amounts for RSP, 401k, and superannuation deductions;
- Process special payments as requested (bonus, salary increase, adjustments, etc.);
- Prepare reports, statements and summaries related to payroll and benefits for appropriate parties and departments;
- Assist with periodical audits (internal, financial and tax authorities);
- Respond in a timely and professional manner to questions from employees and managers regarding payroll, expense report, time & attendance.
- Be a business partner with Talent & Culture to provide best in class customer service to our employees
Other duties as requested by the Accounting Manager
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- 5-7 years of experience running payroll using ADP, (ADP Workforce Now is a plus);
- Experience managing full cycle payroll for 250+ employees;
- Experience with year-end processing and filing;
- Knowledge of legislation and regulatory compliance in Canada, (Australia, UK and USA is a plus);
- Has the PCP designation – Payroll Compliance Practitioner (Payroll Fundamentals 1&2 and Payroll Compliance Legislation);
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role and at least 2 years in a supervisor or manager role.

- Strong analytical and financial skills;
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels within the company;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines;
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
- Team-oriented.
