About the Position
We are seeking a full-time Payroll Coordinator that will be responsible for the weekly payroll entry and submission for over 100 employees, certified payroll, and general office administration support. This position works with various departments with-in the company including accounting, project managers, and field employees. This position requires professional and courteous conduct, consistent attendance, and excellence in customer service delivery.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Perform weekly payroll process
- Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests from the field
- Contact various supervisors for missing payroll information
- Ensure that regular and prevailing wage/certified payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner
- Ability to use industry standard regular and prevailing wage software efficiently
- Monitor and maintain amendments in determining pay-rates on an individual county-by-county basis if necessary
- Union reporting
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Stay up to date with compliance on all federal, state and local laws; enforcing adherence to laws and requirements; advise management as needed.
Qualifications:
- AA in accounting or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
- Professionally manage confidential information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly motivated and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Punctual and reliable
- Construction accounting experience (preferred)
- Spectrum software knowledge (preferred)
- Certified Payroll experience (preferred)
