The Payroll Coordinator will process the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Responsible for maintaining employee resource records in the timekeeping system and gathering project timekeeping related data to keep costs on track, which includes ensuring timesheets are processed timely and accurately.
Administers processing of organization's payroll and collects payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Audits payroll information for accuracy.
Reconciles payroll deposits, tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and voluntary deductions.
Participates in problem solving and special projects within the Payroll Department.
Maintain employees' current resource data and Job WBS options in the timesheets in the main database
Monitor Timekeeping email in-bin and timely attend and respond to inquiries
Work with Employees, Payroll, Information Technology, and Human Resources teams closely to resolve timesheet related issues
Generate timesheet compliance reports regularly to ensure timely submission and approval of timesheets
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Knowledge (Brief description of technical knowledge or skills needed to perform the job)
Familiarity with payroll processing systems. ADP preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook) required
Experiences in Microsoft Business Central, a plus
Required Competencies (Critical behaviours necessary to successfully perform the job)
Strong quantitative skills, data analysis and spreadsheet knowledge.
Solid customer relations skills and ability to handle highly sensitive/confidential information.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills a must.
Must be self-motivated, strong problem solver, and High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Required Work Experience (Brief description of the job-related experience needed to perform the job)
1-2 years of payroll processing experience required.
Required Education (Brief description of the educational background needed to perform the job)
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred
Travel / Rotation Requirements (Brief description of any travel or rotation requirements)
Less than 10 % travel required.
Hybrid work schedule. Mandatory 3 days in office, subject to change
