Job Description
We are seeking a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to:
- Generate weekly and bi-weekly employee payroll and reconcile information including benefits, taxes, garnishments, and PTO for multi-state locations
- Reconcile labor and job costing reports; assist with end-of-the-month closings
- Assist with annual open enrollment and benefit updates in Employee Navigator
- Reconcile monthly benefit invoices
- Point of contact for benefit-related items, coordinating with broker as necessary
- Coordinate disability & FMLA leaves
- Coordinate integration of payroll and benefits for acquisitions
- Assist with employee onboarding and safety training.
- Organize and maintain employee files and recordkeeping.
- Manage new hire information processing
- Help coordinate events for employees
- Assist with other HR responsibilities as needed including office management
- Maintain confidential employee information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related fields preferred
- 3+ years of experience in HR; Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of HR best practices, current regulations, HR policies and procedures, including the hiring process
- Accounting experience preferred
- Sound judgment, even temperament, and problem-solving skills. Able to deal with ambiguity
- Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion
- Proficiency with MS Office suite; strong Excel skills; knowledge of Paychex payroll and retirement systems, a plus
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
