Job Summary:
As a Payroll and Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for processing company Payroll and managing various member benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans. Your role will encompass hourly and salaried payroll administration, leave and worker's compensation processing, and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Major Duties:
- Payroll and Benefits:
- Process changes to earnings, deductions, and taxes for salaried and hourly members.
- Maintain pay rules and calculations, ensuring accuracy in holiday, overtime, and other wage-related policies.
- Conduct semi-annual audits and detect/correct payroll discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on wage adjustments and tax administration.
- Ensure ACA compliance and process Verification of Employment requests.
- Confidentiality:
- Maintain strict confidentiality of member compensation and personal information.
- Complete HIPAA training and comply with privacy rules and regulations.
- Leave Administration:
- Review and make recommendations on FMLA, WC, and short & long-term disability requests.
- Process leave requests and communicate leave and return-to-work status.
- Additional Payroll Maintenance:
- Maintain pay codes for all locations and establish documented standards and processes.
- Insurance & Retirement Plan Support:
- Assist in member enrollment/terminations by verifying in payroll.
- Compensation:
- Upload annual merit, bonus, and profit-sharing calculations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or accounting with HR emphasis or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
- Effective managerial skills and proficiency in personal computer applications.
- Thorough working knowledge of local, state, and federal taxes, employment laws, and regulations.
Pay: Annual salary range of $55,000-$65,000 based on experience.
