As the Payroll Administrator, you would ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple churches and parishes.
What You’ll Do:
- Manages end-to-end payroll processing for multiple organizations within the faith-based community.
- Ensures accurate calculation of wages, benefits, and deductions through system set up and validation.
- Processes payroll on a regular schedule, meeting established deadlines.
- Collaborate with Ministry Partners to gather relevant payroll data. Maintains comprehensive and organized payroll records.
- Prepares and maintains payroll-related documentation, including tax forms and reports.
- Maintains current knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements for all localities served.
- Conduct necessary internal self-audits to ensure payroll compliance.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for management review.
- In coordination with Ministry Partners, setup/administer employee benefits within the payroll system and coordinate benefits enrollment process within payroll system
What We’re Looking For:
- 5-7 years of proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of church/nonprofit payroll regulations, tax codes, and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation (preferred)..
- Experience in Realm Payroll and Accounting or ACS financials is preferred
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
