Position Overview:
The position of Payroll Administrator will ensure accurate processing and recording of company payrolls in both the US and Canada, provide timely and accurate financial information, and perform all cycles relating to payroll and benefits. The Payroll Administrator must be able to use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency. They will need to be good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information. They have great communication skills to interact with colleagues across all functional areas. The goal is to ensure every employee receives their correct compensation in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
- Understand all aspects of payroll, including laws and regulations
- Understand payroll best practices and accounting fundamentals
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately
- Provide excellent customer service to employees
- Perform daily payroll operations
- Process employee data (new hires, compensation changes)
- Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
- Process 401K, HSA and garnishment payments
- Process accurate and timely year end reporting (W-2, W-2c, 1095)
- Process manual checks
- Complete employment verifications and unemployment insurance information requests
- Other assigned duties as necessary
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Payroll Administrator
- Solid understanding of payroll best practices and accounting fundamentals
- Experience processing payroll in both the US and Canada
- Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and state regulations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to discreetly deal with sensitive and confidential information
- Detail-oriented with proven organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with ability to work cross-functionally
- FPC, preferred
- 2+ years of experience with US and Canada payroll processing
