Part-time Bookkeeper / Payroll Admin at Dog Training facility
Dutes:
- Prepare and submit weekly payroll for staff.
- Reconcile daily receipts, prepare said receipts for bank deposit, and physically make such deposits.
- Prepare monthly sales tax receipt info for submission to MA DOR.
- Pay business bills on a weekly or monthly basis, as required.
- Enter checks, expenses and deposits into Quickbooks.
- Reconcile QuickBooks via the bank statement monthly. Run reports and incorporate the info into a spreadsheet, with payroll detail and credit card charges. Prepare quarterly or monthly reports to partners.
- Prepare monthly sales tax submissions.
- Yearly: prepare audit for workmen’s comp insurance (yearly salary of each employee)
- Submit End of Year figures to tax accountant (salaries, expenses, etc.)
- Submit yearly inventory (performed by another employee) and submit with tax paperwork.
- Submit 941 for all 4 quarters to tax accountant.
- Submit the Franklin Form of List to tax accountant, who will then return it to us for submission to the town before the end of March.
- When taxes are returned, pay Corporate Excise Tax and submit Annual Report.
- This is a hybrid job, most of which can be done remotely, and will involve 8 to 15 hours per week on average.
- Ideal job for someone who is semi-retired, looking for mother's hours, or is looking to supplement their regular / retirement income.
- HR experience is a plus, especially in regards to preparing an Employee Handbook.
