What does it mean to be a Payment Processing Coordinator at GLS?
As a Payment Processing Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day customer Payment Processing activities. You will work closely with the Payment Processing and Accounting Operations teams and be responsible for general functions, including posting customer payments and receivables, resolving payment research requests, reviewing cash activity, and administrative support assignments.
How will you drive value within the organization as a Payment Processing Coordinator?
- Assist in completing the daily workload of posting customer loan payments
- Research customer payments using online portals
- Analyze historical customer account information, process payment modifications, and re-postings
- Track and reconcile cash postings daily
- Maintain electronic records and files that support work performed, results, and outcomes
What should you already know to be successful as a Payment Processing Coordinator?
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate Degree preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant customer service and/or administrative experience required, automotive finance field preferred
- Strong numerical reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on a team and focus on results, exhibit adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Time-management skills required to efficiently complete assignments
- Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of the internet and standard business applications; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as requested; high proficiency in Excel preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
Employment Requirements:
- Pre-employment background screen required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Talk and hear to exchange accurate information
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
- The position does not require travel
- This is a position whereby business needs will dictate the exact work schedule, which should be expected to vary at times. Generally, days and hours of work are between the hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
