Under supervision of an RN, the sitter provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients identified as safety risks. The sitter assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job. However, an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
Education:
High School graduate or GED desired.
Experience: Experience caring for patients in various settings preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to lift and move at least 20 pounds.
2. Ability to remain calm, continue to function effectively and develop priorities during stressful situations.
3. Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal media.
4. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
