Position Summary:

Monitors in a 1:1 or line of sight situation the safety and well-being of both behavioral health patients and those with concern for patient safety (i.e. dementia patients at risk for fall or self harm). Under the general supervision of the Department Director and according to established policies and procedures, generally sits directly with patients with behavioral health needs and/or patient safety needs, such as dementia. One-on-one care needs will be completed by the primary nurse or support staff based on patient’s identified safety needs by physician order, nurse order, and/or IVC status. Work is of a highly confidential nature.
