UW Medicine Primary Care has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist Manager.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)

    POSITION DESCRIPTION
    Serves as the PSS Manager for the Network and performs duties to lead front desk and between visit care (BVC) operations.Establishes training materials, prepares procedures for PSR and BVCC functions, disseminates new information to PSS Leads, assists with standard work at clinic and audits implementation of new work to ensure these functions are standardized within the network.
    Serves as subject matter expert and resource regarding all technical aspects of registration, scheduling, between visit work, insurance plans and check-in process in accordance with UW Medicine and UW Primary Care standards.
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will provide technical expertise related to PSS and BVC tasks.Will identify and develop tools/training materials for PSS and BVCC's
  • Oversees PSS Lead competency throughout the network.Will identify standards of performance, assesses performance of registration accuracy, timely response and will design improvement plans
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms
  • Assists Clinic Manager/Delegate in registering new and existing PSS's for training classes as needed.Will identify learning needs of staff, plan and conduct training as well as in-service education for staff
  • Facilitates the PSS Lead Meeting and BVC Operations Workgroup in partnership with assigned Clinic Manager.Ensures information from meeting is disseminated to Clinic Managers and PSS Leads via PSS Lead, BVC Operations, and Clinic Manager Meeting
  • Acts as UW Med Primary Care representative on various UW Medicine committees demonstrating leadership skills necessary to disseminate information critical to the workflow of UW Primary Care Clinics
  • Performs other duties as assigned
    REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in a medically related or public relations field AND four years of experience as a Patient Services Representative
  • OR High school graduation or equivalent AND four years' experience as a Patient Services Specialist Lead
  • OR equivalent education/experience
