Patient Services Representative

Our company is currently looking for a Patient Service Representative with exceptional customer service skills for our Palm Coast office. You will be working alongside a team of professionals for a well-known, highly-regarded, dermatology practice that puts our patients above all else.

• Able to work at a fast pace, multi-task and have strong attention to detail
• Great computer skills
• Great communication skills

Essential Job Functions

• Greet patients pleasantly
• Collect and enter all data into computer from intake forms, and schedule appointments
• Scan copy and drop insurances and driver's license into practice management and electronic medical records system
• Responsible for various health information administrative duties including scanning, faxing and indexing documentation into the patient’s electronic medical record; processing all release of medical records information requests in a timely, efficient manner to the correct manner.
• Collect deductibles, co-payments, and deposits from each patient
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and all levels of personnel in a professional, courteous, and effective manner using excellent customer service skills.
• Experience working with electronic health records (E.H.R.) and practice management systems (PMS) is a plus.
• Able to answer a multi phone line system
• Able to travel within Volusia and Flagler counties

Job Requirements

• Minimum: High School graduate, GED or equivalent.
• Must be able to travel within Volusia/Flagler county
• Must have consistent, punctual, and have reliable attendance.
• Able to carry at least 25 lbs.
• Able to go up and down stairs
• Require manual dexterity to operate a typewriter and ability to type 40 wpm.
• Assists with special projects as needed.
• 30 to 40 hours a week-office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Friday's 7:30 to 1 p.m.
• Must be willing to travel to satellite offices within Volusia and Flagler county

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
