Patient Services Assistant - Ambulatory Surgery - Lower Manhattan Hospital
The Patient Service Assistant functions in a multi-faceted capacity in the ASU. Works under the supervision of the Patient Care Director or designee. Provides escort and transport service. Performs STAT errands. Performs assigned duties to assist the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse/OR Technician. Provides for patient safety. To support and adhere to the Hospital's Mission Statement and to perform according to the Hospital's standards for customer service. Together, we help to improve the health of patients and their families, making our communities - and the world - stronger.
This position will work only on Mondays and Fridays, 7:30am - 4pm.

Preferred Criteria
- Previous patient care experience in the Ambulatory Surgery/Periop preferred
Required Criteria
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Current BCLS certification according to the American Heart Association
- At least 3 years related experience in hospital/healthcare setting Must have the ability to read and write English with good command of verbal English
