Job Description
- Managing communication between patients and the medical team throughout the duration of treatment.
- Ensures all patients are scheduled or rescheduled according to the calendar.
- Confirms appointments for the following day.
- Check in and check out patients while collecting payments.
- Maintaining patient data up-to-date and verifying patient information at every visit.
- Verifies and updates all scheduled patient insurance information daily.
- Identifies the patients’ need for referrals/authorization and obtains them when necessary.
- Ensures authorizations are secured for any imaging, DMEs, or other requests by the physician.
- Assists with other administrative areas when needed.
- Ensures all faxes are filed properly.
- Schedules new patient referrals promptly.
- Maintains and addresses our website appointment requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Experience with insurance verification and authorization.
- 1 year medical experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks and prioritize appropriately
