Patient Service Representative

At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-house specialists in 10 areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry. We also offer unique services like our ambulatory surgery center and nuclear stress testing facility.

We are seeking to hire an experienced Patient Service Representative to work with our Ophthalmologist at our Cockeysville location! The Patient Service Representative (aka PSR) is the first point of contact and provides a professional, supportive, and nurturing experience for patients, visitors and colleagues via telephone and/or in person.

Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Tuesday, Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour / Commensurate with experience

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Identifies and quickly assesses nature of call and acts appropriately to provide prompt Patient Service.
• Schedules patient appointments.
• Completes front desk registration and check in.
• Understands the electronic insurance verification system (RealMed) and checks patient eligibility of scheduled patients daily and completes or corrects any eligibility issues before the scheduled appointment.
• Understands how to post surgical procedures relating to Ophthalmology.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

· High School Diploma or G.E.D.

· Medical Office experience - Ophthalmology is preferred.
