BJC HealthCare is seeking a Full-Time Patient Service Rep (PSR) at our Outpatient location located on Ballas Rd in St. Louis, MO.
Position Details:
- Shift Day Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4PM)
- Schedule appointments; monitor in basket messages in EPIC for designated Physician and take care of in timely manner; enter orders for outpatient testing (lab/diagnostic); Generate referrals through insurance and Epic; Takes incoming calls and dispatches appropriately; Assists Medical Assistants with scheduling follow-up appointments for patients; Obtains medical records (reports, labs, results) for providers; Duties as assigned
- This position also requires traveling with the team to 2 other outreach locations. Sullivan twice a month (1stand 3rd Thursday). Chesterfield every Friday. Employees get mileage reimbursement for traveling to outreach locations
- Previous experience as Medical Secretary and/or in medical office preferred
- Epic/EHR experience preferred

Role Purpose
The Patient Services Representative acts as the initial point of contact for front office activity and helps directs the patient flow process at the physician office. This position performs patient check-ins and appointment scheduling. This position also maintains patient financial records and may serve as a switchboard operator as needed.
