Description:
The Patient Service Representative is responsible for the patient check-in process, updating computer patient personal information and insurance information, handling a multi-line phone system, medical records filing and maintenance, and collection of co-pays and cash payments
Performs opening and closing clinic duties
Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance
Scans documents into electronic health record
Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day
Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments throughout the day
Schedules follow up appointments as needed
Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record
Orders clinic office supplies
Sells and tracks cosmetic products
Distributes mail
Prepares for next day scheduled appointments
Experience with Nextgen or Phreesia preferred
1 year of medical office experience
