Patient Scheduling – Multi-Specialty Clinics

Reimagining health care – working in our new state-of-the-art facility on Madison’s east side – you will help transform the patient experience.

We are seeking Patient Scheduling Specialists and Coordinators to:

• Schedule appointments via phone, in-person or electronic correspondence.
• Complete multi-disciplinary scheduling – comprehensive clinics with more than one billing provider in which multiple providers across different disciplines require scheduling for the same date of service for a patient.
• Take incoming phone calls from patients and their families to assist them with their appointment scheduling needs.
• Make outgoing phone calls to patients to schedule their appointments.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure that patients receive appropriate care in a timely manner.

Education :

Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other related field.

Work Experience :

Patient Scheduling Specialist :

Minimum – One (1) year of previous experience in an office or customer service environment.

Preferred - Previous experience working in healthcare. Previous experience scheduling of patients. Previous experience with answering phones, greeting clients and customers in person.

Patient Scheduling Coordinator:

Minimum – One (1) year of previous experience working in an office or customer service environment.

Preferred – One (1) year or more electronic medical scheduling.

Eastpark Medical Center - UW Health’s new state-of-the-art ambulatory facility will transform the patient experience and offer cutting-edge proton therapy. This 469,000-square-foot ambulatory facility will house many specialties, including women’s complex care, adult cancer care, advanced imaging and laboratory services and innovative clinical trials. It will be located across from East Madison Hospital on Eastpark Dr. and is slated to open in fall 2024.
