We are seeking a full time Patient Financial Services Representative to work at our corporate office in Brooklyn Park. This position has the potential to work partially remote after successfully completing the training period.
Position Summary
The Patient Financial Services Representative is responsible for handling all aspects of patient collections in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Works accounts receivable aging reports by patient balance.
- Answering patient telephone calls and assisting patients in resolving questions about their claims and statements.
- Acts as a primary internal contact for questions related to patient balances.
- Sets up payment plans with patients and maintains arrangements within computer billing system.
- Contacts patients regarding late payments and takes appropriate action.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of billing experience in a medical practice, using an automated billing system
- Proficient with Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Office products preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate and work efficiently with patients, staff, physicians, and administration
- Ability to maintain a positive approach on the telephone and providing a high level of customer service
- This position requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal
