ICF's Survey Research Science and Operations Portfolio is home to a talented community of Survey Researchers building robust solutions for government (Federal, State, and Local), university and commercial clients. In support of our client's research goals, we provide high quality, reliable, innovative, and transparent Survey Research services.
We are the largest data collector of the CDC's Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) and support other health surveys at the national, state and community level. In addition, we support a wide range of federal, state, and non-governmental clients across a range of issues including transportation, finance, energy, environment, and childcare.
ICF is currently seeking a Research Assistant to work in its Survey Research Science and Operations Portfolio, specifically to support our BRFSS program that assists multiple state health departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support of Survey Research activities such as survey instrument testing and process documentation.
- Assist in developing and preparing training materials, written reports, or other deliverables.
- Support of all web-based, mail, telephone, and other data collection activities.
- Perform quality assurance checks on data, reports, and presentations.
- Analyze project performance daily,
- Assist with meeting tasks such as logistics, note taking, and material preparation.
- Process outgoing and incoming study documents.
- Work with external clients daily (including written and verbal communication).
- Support proposal development activities as requested.
- Some light travel (< 10% annually).
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of prior professional experience working in Survey Research or survey operations.
- This experience must include some or all the following:
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Experience with Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) and associated survey software (e.g., Voxco).
- Experience with health surveys (management and/or analysis).
- Experience providing general project support, such as activity tracking, task coordination, and document formatting.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a social science research field (psychology, epidemiology, etc.), mathematics, statistics/biostatistics, data analytics, and/or market research, preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$47,717.00 - $81,118.00
