Obtain patient vital signs and report results to staff nurse or physician to identify changes from prior measurements. Obtain blood specimens for testing by performing venipuncture and/or finger stick testing, i.e., blood glucose monitoring. Prepare collected specimens for pick-up by labeling and preparing required forms. Participate in collecting routine personal medical data/information for patient health history. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/TASC required
- Current PCT/PCA certification required
- Training in EKG and phlebotomy required
- Current BCLS/CPR highly desirable
- Bilingual is a plus
Schedule
- All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes. These facilities are open 24 hours/7 days each week.
- General shift availability:
- Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p)
- Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a)
- Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
- Every other weekend is usually required for all positions.
