BronxCare is seeking experienced Telemetry Technicians to join our Patient Care Services Department. We are seeking a qualified candidate who can successfully perform a variety of duties working with Telemetry/Medical Surgical Patients. Telemetry technicians are tasked with preparing, maintaining, and interpreting telemetry data. Telemetry Technicians are responsible to observe and interpret cardiac rhythms and document accordingly.
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Tele Tech will provides specific direct Patient Care activities and performs related support functions within his/her scope of responsibility.
Other duties include:
· Monitors and records patient data via Telemetry monitors.
· Performs waive testing according to policy and procedure
· Transport patients as assigned
· Obtains and records vital signs including blood pressure
· Performs EKG, and phlebotomy
Requirements:
· High School graduate or GED
· Telemetry Technician Certification
· American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS)
· Computer skills
· Organizational Skills
· Communication skills written and verbal skills required
Evening Shift, 3:00-11:30pm available.
