Our dental office is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for managing patient appointments, answering patient inquiries, and coordinating Patient Care with dental providers. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient appointment scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up on missed appointments
- Answer patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person communication
- Greet patients as they arrive at the office and assist with registration and paperwork
- Coordinate Patient Care with dental providers, including managing patient referrals and follow-up appointments
- Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, and financial responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services
- Collect and process patient payments, including copayments and deductibles
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and practice management software
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred
- Experience in Patient Care coordination or a related healthcare field preferred
- Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and practice management software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records systems
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations
