Patient Care Coordinator

Job Description:

Our business is constantly growing and we are looking to hire another FULL-TIME team member to our busy medical practice. The position we are hiring for is a Patient Care Coordinator.

We are seeking someone who is honest, trustworthy, dependable, and dedicated. Other qualities we are looking for is someone who is also self-motivated, caring, and a quick learner and self-starter. Must be flexible and be able to adapt to change well. Must be a team player and willing to travel with the providers to our out-patient clinics.

Qualifications:

-Must have a high school diploma or GED

- Must have a valid Driver’s License

-Experience working in customer service

-Experience working in a busy medical office

-Experience working with the hearing impaired is preferred, but not required.

-Able to multi-task, work efficiently, and complete tasks according to deadlines.

-Attention to detail is a must

-Excellent communication and phone skills are a must.

-Knowledge of how to effectively count back change.

-Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

-Travel will be required. This position is primarily out of our Manhattan clinic; however, we have 3 other clinics that we travel to and require assistance.

-Willingness to work past office hours if needed

Duties include, but not limited to;

-Office/clerical work

-Answering phones

-Scheduling appointments

-Responsible for keeping our providers schedules booked

-Process hearing aid orders

-Clean and service hearing aids

- Light housekeeping

-Process invoices/cash handling/insurance billing

-Responsible for following CDC guidelines for COVID-19, sanitizing the clinic and equipment.

Wage and benefits commensurate with experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

Hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 am -5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am- 3:00 pm.

COVID-19 considerations:
We follow all CDC guidelines to keep our staff and patients safe. The clinic is sanitized in between every patient. Staff are required to wear masks, gloves and safety glasses at all times. Temperatures are taken for every employee and patient.
