Nursing Assistant assists patients with delegated tasks of direct and indirect Patient Care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The nursing assistant carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel. This includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to patients and assisting in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years old. High school diploma/GED preferred. Demonstrates ability to multi-task under stressful situations. Demonstrates ability to communicate, collaborate and manage relationships with interdisciplinary members while maintaining patient/family centeredness and safety in a timely, efficient and equitable manner. Keyboard experience preferred.
License or Certification: BLS certification included in orientation program; successful completion required prior to first day in Patient Care.

Schedule Details
Typical PCA schedule consists of 8-hour shifts rotating between two shifts (days, eves, nights) or straight off shifts (eves/nights). Some units offer 12-hour shift options. Shift start times are firm. Available schedule options will be discussed during interview..
Weekend Schedule
Weekend and holiday rotations required. Weekend shift rotations include both days. Available weekend scheduling options will be discussed during interview.
