JOB TITLE:Patient Advocate
We are growing rapidly and have an exciting opportunity for the right individual to help us grow our company.
Prior knowledge of Medicare, Private, Commercial, and Medicaid insurance, is a must!
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/ OR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with Durable Medical Equipment Supplier, or other health-care environment preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 codes and HCPS codes.
- Verifying Insurance benefits and Eligibility
- Verifying Same / Similar with Medicare and other commercial/ Private Insurance
- Be knowledgeable of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurances’ rules and regulations
- Knowledge of CPAP supplies and Diabetic Supplies
- Knowledge of Medicare LCD’S, Fee Schedules, State Licensure Requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of the industry, and Medicare Guidelines for Medical supplies.
- Familiarity with medical equipment and supplies and their appropriate uses
- Brightree Software Experience is a Must!!!
- Must be efficient with automated office equipment including computers, calculators, phone and copiers.
- Excellent Customer Service skills and comfortable speaking on the phone with physicians and patients.

- Adapts to stressful situations and demonstrates multi-tasking capabilities when dealing with frequent changes in an ever evolving work environment.
- Supports the company culture within the organization by adhering to policies, practices and the company’s mission statement.
