Location: San Diego, CA 92123 (100% onsite)

Pay: $20-22/hr

Shift: Thursday - Monday, 3pm-11:30pm

Attire: Professional attire

Role Type: Contract (13 months to start, potential opportunity for extension)

 

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for a healthcare facility in San Diego, CA 92123 .??Patient Access Specialist will be responsible for greeting patients, Register, schedule, and obtain authorizations for inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.

 

Job Description:

 

• Register, schedule, and obtain authorizations for inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills to build rapport with diverse customers.
• Utilize basic personal computer functionality and perform data entry tasks to maintain productivity standards.
• Possess general knowledge of medical terminology or six months of demonstrated work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, authorization, and eligibility requirements for health insurance carriers.
• Epic knowledge and internet capability required.

 

Requirements:

 

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience or general knowledge of managed care health plans, scheduling, registration, billing, and/or claims payment.
• Minimum of two years of work experience in a healthcare setting and/or one year of work experience in a specific department function or call center environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
