LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring for a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care in Lafayette, IN. Committed to innovation, compassion, and excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Patient Access Representative.

Position Summary:

As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience from the moment they enter the healthcare facility. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing the registration and admission process.

Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Registration: Accurately and efficiently collect and record patient demographic and insurance information during the registration process.

  2. Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information to facilitate smooth billing processes.

  3. Appointment Scheduling: Assist patients in scheduling appointments, coordinating with various departments to optimize appointment availability.

  4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive and welcoming environment.

  5. Financial Counseling: Collaborate with patients to discuss financial responsibilities, explain insurance coverage, and assist with payment plans when necessary.

  6. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and compliance standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.

  7. Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care coordination.

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.

  2. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in Patient Access or registration.

  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

  4. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and basic computer skills.

  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  6. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Pay

  • $18/hr
