Job Description:
Purpose of Job:
To complete an acurate patient registration for Emergency services st Doylestown Hospital
Essential Functions:
1. Positively identify the patient and select the appropriate medical record
2. Complete an acurate registration, verifying all data fields with the patient or representative
3. Verify patient's insurance eligibility and benefits at the time of service and document in the account
4. Identify and collect patient's co-payment for emergency services as applicable
5. Complete all required forms and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance
Provide excellent customer service by obtaining accurate information, communicating insurance benefits to Patients and completing registration for services in a manner that reflects Doylestown Hospital SERVE Values. This responsibility includes collecting and verifying comprehensive data set, and completing an accurate registration.
Corporate Compliance:
Adheres to Doylestown Hospital's Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Annually sign and continuously abide by the hospital's code of conduct.
HIPAA:
Complies with HIPAA privacy rules by only discussing, or seeking out information about the status of patients to whom care is being provided with other providing care to that same patient, and ensuring such discussion takes place in a confidential setting.
Job Qualifications:
Education: High School or equivalent is required
B. Experience: Hospital/Insurance experience preferred
C. Other Skills: Excellent Customer Service Skills

Knowledge of medical terminology
