Huckleberry Bakery is seeking a passionate, upbeat, baker & pastry cook to lead our close knit team as Sous Chef. We love what we do and appreciate a person with a positive attitude with an ability to work well with others in a fast-paced creative environment. Seeking an efficient, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and time management skills that bakes from the heart.
The position offers the opportunity to work with the best organic and seasonal farmers' market ingredients, baking various pastries, working with laminated and yeasted doughs, as well as making many pastry components. The Sous Chef leads our morning bake and ensures everything is done to our standard. They plan daily production, ensure catering orders are executed in a timely manner and create prep lists for the team. They also acts as a liaison between the bakery and the front of house, and collaborate with the pastry chef on numerous aspects of running the bakery.
FULL TIME. 4am-12:30pm.
Hourly rate PLUS TIPS.
PLUS health insurance coverage, after a short waiting period.
Candidates should have at least 2 years pastry or baking experience,
