Role Overview:
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dealership's parts operations to ensure optimal levels of customer satisfaction, both internally and externally. Their primary focus is on maximizing return on investment through effective management of parts sales, inventory, and expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor efficient processes within the Parts Department to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Take charge of Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities, ensuring achievement of budgeted objectives for sales revenue, operating expenses, and net operating profit.
- Ensure all department tools, equipment, and vehicles are well-maintained and in good working condition.
- Foster positive and professional relationships with manufacturer partners.
- Supervise parts counter staff to ensure efficient point-of-sale processes and exceptional customer service.
- Address customer parts inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues promptly.
- Manage marketing and merchandising efforts within the parts department to maximize revenues.
- Oversee effective inventory management, including ordering, stocking, returns, and cycle counting to meet customer needs and enhance profitability.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Uphold the upkeep and appearance standards of the parts department.
- Ensure timely and efficient completion of all paperwork associated with parts operations.
- Facilitate ongoing training and development initiatives for all parts department employees.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a parts department in the Heavy Equipment or related industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs and manufacturer-provided software.
- Team player with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and physical assessments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
