The Parts Advisor is responsible for the sourcing, ordering, receiving, and billing of parts for luxury motorhome/motorcoaches supporting both the retail clients and internal service staff. The essential functions of the Parts Advisor require clear and professional communication with to deliver an exceptional experience. The Parts Advisor must also clearly and effectively communicate with the Service Technicians to ensure timely and correct repair and service. A basic understanding of the layout, and construction of motorhomes/motorcoaches as well as the various systems is helpful. Availability to work overtime and weekends as well as potential overnight travel is a must.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Processing parts and accessories sales to both internal and external clients.
- Source, order and receive parts for both internal and external clients.
- Bill accurately and expediently for retail clients’ parts sales.
- Greet customers in person and on the phone and return calls and emails in a timely manner.
- Advises customers on substitution or modified parts when necessary.
- Examines received parts to ensure accuracy and returns parts for warranty or if the parts is incorrect upon receipt.
- Demonstrates and explains functions of parts for customers.
- Help in loading and unloading activities as required.
- Keeps working area clean.
- Additional duties as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Customer service experience, minimum of 2 years
- Proficient with computer and keyboard skills as well as MS Office programs
- Excellent communications and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task with ever changing priorities within team environment.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Valid driver’s license
- Must possess a knowledge of motorhome systems.
Equipment Used
- Personal computer and a variety of office software applications including word processing, email, and file management.
- Standard office equipment such as printers, copy machines, fax machines, and multi-line desk phone.
- Tape measure
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 20lbs.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, stoop, kneel for extended periods of time.
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to ascend/descend, work atop and use stairs/ladders.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to:
o Hard glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves
And steel-toe boots.
- Ability to work in enclosed/tight spaces, and on secured motorhome roofs at various.
heights.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to travel, up to 5%
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.40 - $22.16 per hour
