Job Description: Parts Clerk
Job Description: A Parts Clerk Trainee is someone that is being trained for the first 30 days on the following items and then gaining experience for their first six months in the following items:
· How to use Paychex to clock in and clock out.
· How to login to open, navigate, receive, complete and properly report work in Rapid Recon and Solutions.
· How to order parts, follow up on parts and escalate parts orders as needed for timely ordering and receiving of parts.
· How to confirm a GPS was properly installed by checking that on the GPS website.
· What is the Service Technician process including the 80-point diagnostic inspection to the standards required by Prime Auto USA and properly report work items needed to recondition the car in Rapid Recon.
· How to properly report time worked in Rapid Recon by rejecting, completing or escalating work items for approval as needed in Rapid Recon and following up with Service Technicians for compliance.
· How to keep a clean and orderly workspace to avoid accidents.
· How to place a car in sublet, pick a car up from sublet and notate details related to what is needed in sublet independently.
· Learn the requirements for safety standards and ensure you and all those around you adhere to those standards independently.
· How to update progress for daily production based on management requirements.
· How to maintain records of daily, weekly and monthly goals and report the same to their manager.
· How to communicate respectfully to accomplish your job.
Duties: The Parts Clerk Trainee is responsible to order, receive and organize parts and other assets of the company.
It is typical for the Parts Clerk Trainee to complete the following work daily:
· Login to Paychex and Rapid Recon to report time worked and what work is completed.
· Order parts from vendors, follow up on those order and notate ETAs and other appropriate details in Rapid Recon.
· Update Rapid Recon with the our cost of pricing.
· Update Rapid Recon with the Pro Demand book hours for each work order.
· Maintain an accurate record of keys including when they are received, handed out and turned back in.
· Maintain parts in an orderly fashion that is quickly able to be pulled upon request.
· Communicate with vendors and partners via verbal phone calls, text messages, emails or in person to follow up on parts or work BEFORE the ETA expires. Provide proper notations in Rapid Recon and Solutions for the same.
· Read the notes in Rapid Recon and look at the photos and videos to ensure all information is understood for accurate and timely ordering of parts.
· Provide Service Technicians with respectful service.
· Receive and make phone calls to the Service Writer and Collection staff as appropriate.
Expected Results:
· The activities listed above are to result in:
· The team achieving a minimum of 1.2 to 1.5 cars produced per technician per day, as an average.
· Begin the process of parts order within 10 minutes of receiving the request, or faster if the request is urgent.
· Coordinate with porters and department members to send and pick up sublet items same day.
· As a team, ensuring that customers receive their cars back within no more than 7 days or 5 working days.

Minimum Requirements for Employment:
· Reasonable abilities utilizing technology the company utilizes.
· High School Diploma or GED
One year or more experience working in parts preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
