Overview

The individual hired will work out of the Phoenix office on Partnership Activation initiatives for Mullett Arena for OVG Global Partnerships; the sponsorship and marketing arm of Oak View Group (OVG).  Suitable for the role are commercially aggressive professionals who have a track record in the sponsorship space of working on the delivery and execution of high value deals with creative activation strategies intertwined. This individual 1) will oversee all aspects associated with the implementation, activation, reporting and delivery of assigned partnership accounts and 2) is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of partnership elements 3) maintaining a deep understanding of each partners’ marketing goals and business objectives as they evolve over the life of the partnership.

This role will pay a salary of $50,000 to $55,000.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of sponsorship accounts including the planning and execution of sponsors’ contractual elements, including traditional media assets, in-market promotions, in-arena activation, hospitality, experiential, and community programs.
  • Develop and deliver effective and measurable sponsorship platforms for sponsors by managing expectations, communicating timelines, and ensuring contractual asset fulfillment.
  • Use variety of methods and resources to creatively engage with, and enhance partner relationships, using industry knowledge and brand awareness to overcome challenges, create business opportunities, and exceed company objectives.
  • Work with Senior Director to develop a template and plan per sponsor to demonstrate ROI and ROO of marketing partnership initiatives and oversee development of mid-year and year-end partnership recaps and case studies.
  • Manage internal and external partner expectations on processes, timelines, approvals, and deadlines
  • Assist with partnership renewal and identifying incremental revenue opportunities amongst existing partners of Mullett Arena
  • Serve as on-site, point-of-contact for all activations taking place within Mullett Arena and around the perimeter of the venue in conjunction with arena events
  • Regularly prepare Research/Market Awareness to keep up to date with current partner news, industry trends and research activation concepts for partners as needed
  • Work with business development team on key category and platform ideation for prospects.
  • Maintain accurate reporting processes, CRM database, procedures and partner database management.
  • Provide weekly high level weekly report indicating status of all current partner and department administrative action items to Senior Director.
  • Responsible for directly contributing to overall department revenue goals through current sponsor partnership renewals and upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Marketing or Sports Management)
    • 2-4 years of professional sponsorship experience in a high-performance sponsorship environment, executing against multiple deals across multiple properties (likely Agency or alternative sports entity/rights holder).
    • College Degree (preferably in Marketing or Sports Management) or equivalent work experience.
    • A lifelong passion for winning supported by an exceptional track record of
    • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients and co-workers.
    • Creative Problem Solver with the ability to quickly understand brands/partners’ business models and how to grow their business.
    • Highly driven self-starter, with ability to work independently without supervision, exercise discretion and independent judgment and make sound decisions in a fast paced environment
    • An excellent communicator and accomplished
    • Excellent budgeting, forecasting and reporting skills (highly numerate).
    • An entrepreneurial mentality, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and make things
    • Focused, diligent and hard-working; ambitious and
    • Strong interpersonal
    • Trustworthy, loyal and ethical.
    • Willingness to work the hours required to fulfill the commitments of the
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint. Adobe Photoshop a plus.
    • Excellent written and verbal skills. Proven ability to correctly use punctuation and grammar. Exceptional listening skills
    • Possess high degree of integrity, discretion and professionalism
    • Consistent, punctual and regular attendance

    Hours of Work and Travel Requirements:

    • Travel Requirements:Light Traveler (<30% travel): Will be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
    • Work hours may vary -- The role is expected to attend games and other events depending on the client they service, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays as required.
