Job Duties:
- Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all required equipment and supplies are readily available
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to proper infection control protocols
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide assistance as needed
- Handle specimens and send them to the laboratory for analysis
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure their comfort and safety during surgery
- Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and promptly report any abnormalities to the surgical team
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge dental terminology
- Preferred certification in sedation administration
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
