Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified Cashier to join our service department. The Cashier reports directly to the Service Drive Manager and/or the Service Manager and acts as the primary contact between the dealership and customer for the processing of repair orders, including personal financial transactions. He or she works closely with other cashiers, service advisors, and valets in order to maximize customer satisfaction and efficiency. The primary goal of the Cashier is to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction by using the Toyota Signature process.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and some retail and/or customer service experience. Automotive dealership experience is preferred. Candidates must have strong communication and customer service skills, fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and a professional appearance and demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Conducts transactions with the highest level of professionalism
- Ensures all of the customer’s questions are answered and concerns are resolved before the customer leaves the dealership
- Schedules shuttle services
- Protects personal information according to the dealership’s Red Flag Policy
- Ensures that all customer contact information is up-to-date and accurate
- Maintains all records, filing regularly and keeping only pertinent information in the cashier office
- Helps with basic accounting functions, such as till counts and deposits
- Maintains effective communication methods with other cashiers, service advisors, valets, and management to ensure both customer and employee satisfaction
- Performs other duties as required by management
Qualifications
- Retail and/or customer service experience
- Automotive dealership experience a plus
- Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Excellent customer service focus
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong computer and internet skills
