Duties:
- Supervise and monitor students in various settings, such as classrooms, playgrounds, and hallways
- Ensure student safety and well-being at all times
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and productive learning environment
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and provide support to students as needed
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with other staff members to address student needs and concerns
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behavior incidents
- Follow established protocols for emergency situations and administer first aid when necessary
Skills:
- Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle challenging behaviors
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Familiarity with classroom routines and procedures
- Knowledge of special education principles and strategies is a plus
- First aid certification is preferred but not required
- Ability to work well with children of different ages and backgrounds
- Conflict management skills to resolve conflicts among students
