Job description:
Contacting patient to schedule sleep study appointments.
Correctly enters physicians orders in the Epic system.
Obtains physicians’ referrals for outside physicians and schedules patient appointments.
Runs benefits and obtains authorization as needed
Provides coverage to all other areas of the department as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of medical scheduling experience or experience in Ambulatory clinic or physician office.
High degree of professionalism and confidentiality ·
Ability to multi-task while producing accurate work ·
Prior experience with HMO, PPO, Commercial, Medicare insurances is a plus ·
Office proficient- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook ·
Effectively communicates using proper grammar and punctuation and written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills ·
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the use of proper grammar and punctuation ·
Technology adept including internet browsing, software and the use of various office equipment ·
Presents in a polite, polished, and professional manner upon dealing with patients and co- workers
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
- Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
