Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Public Housing Inspector to join our team. As a part time Housing Inspectors you will perform inspections for all Section 8 properties and/or potential properties as identified by Gilson Inspection Services for a Client in Los Angeles, CA.

The incumbent is responsible for performing initial inspections, special inspections, and maintenance checks for repairs of housing, apartments and other residences.

This position offers a flexible part-time schedule.We are searching for retired, Military or other applicants that have a flexible schedule to perform inspections on a Part Time Basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspects properties for compliance with all applicable regulations and policies, including those of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”), Housing Quality Standards (“HQS”) local building codes and zoning ordinances.

Gilson Inspection Services will perform Section 8 Inspection Training to the Inspector that is hired. The number of hours per day or days per week that are scheduled can be flexible. • A valid driver's license.
• Access to a personal vehicle.

Section 8 Inspection experience is not mandatory but is a plus. Bi-Lingual is a plus but not required.

During training the applicant must:

• Learn all GSCC mobile Inspection app, software, and web software
• Learn all aspects of the Public Housing and Affordable Housing industry

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
