Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Randolph, Massachusetts. This part-time position, with a commitment of 15 to 20 hours per week, offers a flexible schedule from Monday through Friday. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the developmental needs of students from PreK to 8th grade for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine motor, sensory, and developmental skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the overall educational plan.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to support students' participation and engagement in academic and social activities.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide guidance and support to educational staff regarding strategies for accommodating students with occupational therapy needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Massachusetts state licensure in Occupational Therapy.
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Understanding of the special education process and familiarity with IEPs.
- Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving.
