Medical Technician/Technologist

We are currently looking to hire a part time Medical Technician/Technologist to work in our Lab Department
Medical Technician/TechnologistResponsibilities:
- Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures
- Follow CLIA, HIPPA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines
- Review and release test results.
- Workspace organization. Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, correct the problems encountered or notify laboratory manager.
- Prepare urine, blood, and fluid for testing and analysis.
- Provide all necessary technical support to ensure the continued effective lab operations.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and sending and receiving emails.
- Attendance is an essential component of the job
Medical Technician/TechnologistRequirements:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited school and ASCP or equivalent certification
- One year of clinical Medical Technician/Technologist experience.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge and proficiency in uranalysis, hematology and chemistry.
- Good listening skills.
- BS In Medical Technology (Preferred), BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology or Associates degree in Laboratory Science.
- Excellent computer skills
Schedule:
- Three days from Wednesday to Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, flexibility is necessary as this schedule is subject to change
Job Locations:
- Regular rotation to: Princeton and Plainsboro, NJ
